About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and support mission-critical programs for our government clients. In this role, you will design, build, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions leveraging AWS and/or Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud deployments are resilient, cost-optimized, and compliant with federal security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and manage secure cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

  • Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to government security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA).

  • Optimize performance, availability, and cost of cloud-based workloads.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in cloud environments.

  • Partner with development, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar).

  • Proven background in cloud networking, storage, compute, and security best practices.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps).

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS).

  • Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud architectures.

  • Prior work supporting federal government programs.

  • Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
